They walked down into the Maccaroni Mine. Agnes doesn't quite understand why he keep referring to the mine as his place when he actually grew up with her at 9 Yea-Low Ring. They were all alone down there, except from the sounds of dripping water, it was very quiet.
Agnes was first to grow up...
There, finally an adult! She didn't really change a lot, but who would expect her to? She is the Agnes.
Beetle was next...
And he is the Beetle. Still pretty much the same, but the most interesting part is yet to come...
They stole the serum from the Health Center yesterday. No guarantees, but Beetle expected it to make him turn real.
...and it dragged out forever... Beetle was shaking, surrounded by bursting bubbles...
... oh... then something DID happen!
Poor Agnes. She was totally confused. She had been looking so much forward to seeing her beloved Beetle turn real, but now that it finally happened, she sort of missed the old Beetle. And poor Beetle, too - he felt something had changed... lots had changed, but didn't his Princesss want to like him as a real person?
That was all yesterday. Will Agnes move out on her own? She already asked for help to build a small house on her land near the graveyard. Will Beetle still be part of her plan?
Oh - half the chapter until we come to the day of today!
Today was another sunny day. The fog up north was hardly there, and at 4 Black Heights little Rebecka was greeting the day together with the household's two new kittens. Their mom is a wild mine cat, and she obviously did breed with some wild cat of a different sort. The kittens are so cute!
Christopher R. Black left home early to check out the brand new House of Law. It was nearly completed, only the cellar was not yet ready. It's located at 1 School Street, near the Gallery, the school and the warehouse.
Christopher couldn't wait to work on the law, and if there was an office inside, he would spend the day there.
He was so happy with the House of Law that he really felt like celebrating! (okay, he actually turned Adult). The main hall had a reception, and in the corner he found an office. He placed his stuff on the desk, and his heart kept pumping real fast as he sat down... his plan was about to succeed!
I promised a few more details concerning Christopher's plan. He is basically searching revenge over his siblings who shared all the Redward property without even informing him. That was so unfair! But there was no law he could turn to. Writing them was giving him the benefit of forming them to fit his plan. The Village Council accepting him for this job, was a first victory!
The second victory was when the Village Council accepted to build a House of Law instead of just adding it as a part of the Village Hall building. Christopher knew the laws would stand stronger if they were not connected to the building where Randal Redward was bossing around. Randal would actually have less affect on the laws now that there was a separate build for justice!
While the new laws will cover many aspects of life, there is just one small part that is important for Christopher's revenge; Law of heritage. In order to lean on the law when claiming some of the Redward heritage, he has to make sure that the Village Council will accept Law of Heritage to be valid backward for minimum 7 simdays (the Redward heirloom was shared 3 simdays ago, on Week 9 Day 4). He could then take his case to court within Week 10 Day 4.
In order to get Randal Redward's acceptance for the backward validity, Christopher planned to set up a trap for Randal. He would tell him that his wife Corinne got less than she deserved from the heritage after her parents, Yvonne and Yespar. Yespar is still around, but all remaining possessions were shared by Corinne's 3 siblings 5 simdays ago. When Corinne moved out much earlier, the 10 bank shares were valued §5.000. Five days ago the same shares were valued §19.000 just because the Village Council had realized their real value. Christopher would suggest that Corinne should claim money from her siblings Alex, Dorothy and Yoseph.
Well, Christopher didn't see it as much likely that Corinne would win a trial, because value must really refer to the current understanding, at the time she moved out the shares were valued at §5.000. But he hoped that by suggesting Corinne's claim, Randal would be greedy enough to accept 7 days backward validity of the law. Corinne and Randal would need to raise their claim within Week 10 Day 2, and two simdays later Christopher would raise his claim against Randal, Dorothy and Constance, and hopefully get at least some of what he should have got after his parents in the first place.
Yes, Christopher was a Randal, but he didn't plan this all only for the money, a revenge over Randal and the others was even more important. His case would be stronger than Corinne's, because while she would question values, Christopher would simply question the correct number of main heirs.
Okay, this was kind of complicated, if you didn't undertstand all of the plan, don't worry, but just move on :-)
While Christopher worked on the law text, someone was missing from the Redward Ranch at 6 Redward Heights.
Rosanne just reached childhood, and is not allowed to take three adult horses for a walk all alone! Corinne found her husband Randal outside.
The annoyed toddler on Corinne's arm is their youngest daughter Yvilla.
And Randal walked off, he had to go by feet now that all the horses were gone!
Over at 9 Yea-Low Ring, Alex and Dorothy Yea-Low were just relaxing. Alex is still an Inventor and Dorothy had a rather busy day at the Health Center. It was getting dark outside.
Alex and Dorothy already have 2 sons, Reynar (child) and Yesador (toddler). One thing leads to another...
Dorothy definitely wish for a daughter, but she couldn't tell Alex, because any gender would be just as much appreciated.
Back at Redward Ranch, Rosanne had returned home, but she had walked back home by herself because she was hungry, and she had not seen her Father.
Kids can be soooo "cute"...
But she couldn't. Rosanne had to sleep in her regular room, the room she and her brother Yamir share. They got a new bunk bed, but the house really needs expansion.
Corinne went to bed, too. Randal had still not returned. Corinne could not sleep, she was thinking too much.
Notice the very cool nightstand lamp - a Flame Fruit Lamp! Randal grows them, maybe they can start selling them as lamps to everyone? They give a warm and cozy light :-)
