Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!
What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!
4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.
The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.
Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)
I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Introducing: The Greenches
Greta's biggest dream is to produce and build up her own collection of nectar. She never got started though, and they don't even grow grapes. She is a NATURAL COOK and she loves to learn about other nations' culinary traditions. She adores the early mornings in her kitchen, planning a new day. And she gladly helps tending the garden, but being HYDROPHOBIC she avoids the watering. Her other traits are VEGETARIAN, TECHNOPHOBE and NO SENSE OF HUMOR.
Gabriel's big goal in life is to run a huge farm. He is a GREEN THUMB and very ECO-FRIENDLY. He also loves Greta's cooking, and even if most of her meals are healthy, too much is still too much. He likes it when visitors stop by, and having a bunch of friends is important to him. Gabriel's other traits are COMMITMENT ISSUES, CHARISMATIC and ANGLER.
Below are a few tidbits from Greta and Gabriel's day before the journey. Click image for a readable version.

Hm, is "the Greenchs" correct? It looks a bit wrong, should it rather be "the Greenches"? English isn't my native language...
ReplyDeleteSingular nouns that end with "ch" take "-es" to form the plural. Examples: "beaches," "trenches," "watches," etc.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It sounds logical when you put it that way.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I mistook the name as the Grinches, and was surprised by them being good people. Haha, teaches me to read closer. xD
DeleteHa ha, I did misspell their name for Grinch several times :D Theyt are not the grinch sort of people, though. Thanks for reading!
