Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!

What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!

4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.

The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.

Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)

I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Week 10 Day 3: The trial

A baby boom hit the Maccaroni Island - 4 girls born within 24 hours! Blanca born to Carie G. Peel and Albert Blumington, Carla born to Christopher and Bella Black, Richelle born to Dorothy and Alex Yea-Low, and finally Eileen born to Bridgette and Archie Greench. Eileen is named after the blue alien woman that Bridgette descents from.

At 3 Greench Farm, this morning teen Graica helped with the baby.

Bridgette realized she would need to tell the oldest kids about the CA-66 gene.

Over at the House of Law the trial was about to start. Corinne Y. Redward vs. her siblings Alex, Yoseph and Agnes.

Corinne felt a little off her regular track - this was all her husband Randal's idea, but it was about her heritage so she was the one that had to front it all.

Her 3 siblings were seated to the left, her dad Yespar was standing there too, and Randal Redward tried to control his excitement.

At the other site were the judges seated, and next to them were Christopher R. Black and Bella Black nervously waiting. Not because they were involved with this case, but because Christopher made the new laws, and this is the first time to find out whether the system with judges will work. If it works, his revenge over his brother Randal is more likely to succeed.

There are 4 judges, but because Agnes Y. Jones was part in the case, she could not judge. In addition to the 4 judges, the Village Council is forming the 5th judge vote, but they will probably not be needed today unless one judge refuse to vote and the other two split.

So, Alfonso Blumington, Constance R. Hamming and Cody G. Major are judging this trial.

Then it got started...

Well, assistance is fine in court...

Non of Corinne's siblings understood why their sister would drag them to court. To some of them it even meant they lost most of today's income because of many hours wasted.

Yespar was an old, wise man...

Ha, that was a point I actually had not thought of! But checking the Maccaroni Laws, any heritage process is locked after 7 simdays, so because Corinne moved out about 2 simweeks ago, what happened back then can't be questioned now.

Over at 4 Greench Farm Carie finally got made some furniture. She and Albert had some tough days. At night baby Blanca would keep them awake, and at daytime both of them wanted to work instead of nurturing their baby. In a way it was a sad situation, but it also was new to them both. On top of it all, Albert's brother Alfonso Blumington had asked for financial help - Albert was offered to become a partner of the Fish Park, which Albert didn't really want.

Sorry what? were they splitting up? Greta, come help, hurry!

Back at the House of Law, the break was over and everyone were back in the hall.

So, Corinne Y. Redward lost the case. Because she moved out more than 7 simdays ago, she didn't need to pay her siblings either. No changes for anyone!

Of course Randal gave his brother Christopher a mean look while marching out. Christopher knew it had not started yet, his revenge...

A short hour later, over at 11 Rounder Lane, Cody G. Major was busy in his improvised greenhouse. He grew flowers and other garden plants, and he wanted to cross pollinate and build a production for decorating community lots as well as selling from a future flower shop, perhaps!

And there was some unexpected visitor...

Back at the community celebration at Roger's Light, Corinne had noticed Cody's flower arrangements, and encouraged him to start growing them for sale.

Corinne had stopped long enough, she felt she wasted Cody's time. He had work to do.

That's it for today, but before this chapter closes, a quick stop at Greench Farm. Greta and Gabriel were both very old, but still very much in love. It will definitely be tough on the one who might be left behind, to live alone...

The elders were to busy with each other to see their grandson Bertil Greench taking his very first ride on Pepper! Bertil just grew up to teen, and his traits are Clumsy, Absent-minded, Vegetarian and Equestrian. Even if he could go for a ride on first try, he was not steady at all.

It was a little scary, although Pepper was a trusted friend. Then Bertil saw the light. What was going on over there?

More in about 3 days! Stay tuned! :-)

  1. Woot! Great to see justice at work, even if it made Corinne look a bit bad. Can't wait to see how this impacts Christopher's plan - that's gonna be very interesting!
