Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!

What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!

4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.

The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.

Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)

I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Week 8 Day 7: Plans

Early this morning a tragedy hit the Blumingtons at 3 Blumington Road...

The bank has a set limit of §10.000 per household, simply because there isn't enough deposits to help everyone with unlimited loans. This household now has a total debt of §25.000 and hardly any income at all. Needing to pay 10% interest on the first day of every week might seem like impossible.

Albert hated to see his mom this sad...

Over at 3 Greench Farm Bridgette had got the news about her dad passing. She needed some time on her own, but she is enough down to earth to see that not even parents can't live forever. Her dad, Bolan, was 97.

Their daughter Graica has left toddler stage, she is a sweet little girl, but it's a tad early to describe her by personality. She loves to play with her younger brother Bertil, and she is curious about their horse, Pepper.

Hum, is Graica a caring person? I didn't expect her to be. Her traits are Easily impressed, Friendly and Vegetarian. She spent the next hours with Pepper, and Pepper didn't mind, although he was still looking for Gabriel.

Archie and Bridgette are doing rather well at the farm. Archie's brother Cody is now adult, but is still staying there to help with the produce, and they try to make the most out of it, raising money to make it easier for Archie to pay out his brother when he eventually moves out. The brothers are co-owners of the farm.

Both Archie and Bridgette want 5 kids, and now that they both left the young adult stage, they better hurry up...

Bridgette always liked Archie for being a bit chubby. And just like his dad, he doesn't seem to lose any weight no matter how hard he works on the farm. Archie would never touch the exercise machine at the gym lot, but occasionally he does some acrobatics on the fields...

... before he goes to the kitchen to prepare waffels, while Bridgette IS preparing a salad.

All households got the note about a new council.

Up north Bianca has already accepted the death of her husband Bolan. They will all gather at the graveyard in a few hours, but because there will be numerous funerals, we'll not follow most of them.

The tiny pond is located between the gym and the graveyard. Alfonso never fished here before, but he knows there are frogs in the area. He was basically planning fish for the fish park, but he couldn't resist catching some frogs, too. He's got 2 hours before the funeral.

So, this is a frog, no?

After the funeral, Bella was back at 4 Black Heights. She has now officially taken the Black surname, and Bella and Christopher already had a daughter that just turned toddler (that was quick...?). She is the first kid born with the CA-66 blue skin gene and her name is Rebecka Black. Christopher wants them to marry, but Bella doesn't really see the point. The community is so small, there is hardly a formal community, and marriage would not make much of a difference, except Christopher letting go of the Redward name. Maybe that's why he is so eager?

Rebecka is not laughing all the time, but now that she got a new mate, the cat Kerri, she might give her mom a break every now and then.

Christopher has studied law for a while, he found books at the school library, and has also been reading up on logics. And now he got an idea...

This day is coming to an end. Over at 4 Greench Farm, Carie's place, they didn't find time to harvest their crops during daylight, so Beatrice and her mom Greta were still working outside in the dark and chilly night, while Gabriel and Carie visited the horse, Pepper, across the road.

So, then the story's 8th week is up! The story is moving on quickly, and because I have few plans for them, I'm just as curious as you to see what will happen next week! :-) Who will the 4 council representatives be? I don't know yet...

More from Maccaroni Island in a couple days!

  1. Oh poor Bianca. =( Bella and Christopher didn't waste any time making a family and Rebeka looks so much like her mom. Bella's so practical, but it wouldn't hurt anything to get married. Loving this, excited for the next chapter!

  2. I only wish Bella and Christopher had more money - they really need a bigger house now that they are having kids... Thanks for reading! :D
