Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!

What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!

4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.

The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.

Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)

I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Week 9 Day 4: First teen of 3rd generation

This chapter starts with the picture of Constance R. Hamming writing the invitations to her lighthouse party. She was originally planning it to happen today, but because her Father died last night, she realized it would be better to postpone it one simday. Those providing food, chairs and entertainment were informed, and now the entire Maccaroni population is invited! Instead of celebrating Roger Redward, it will be a celebration of them all arriving Maccaroni Island!

At 3 Blumington Road, the youngest son Alfonso has grown up, and is about to take over the blue house. This means Albert can finally move out.

Bianca brought 4 photos of her beloved hubby when they stranded. The photos were saved and are the only other-world photos on Maccaroni. Bridgette and Bella already got one each, and the last one is on the end table next to Bianca's bed. Alfonso will get it when Bianca is dead.

A little later, it begins to get clear to Alfonso that he is in deep trouble, money wise. They took up a rather big load to establish the fish facility, and because he will run the fish park, he also got the loan when the remaining values were split between him and Albert.

Alfonso now owes the bank nearly §30.000, while the bank has a limit of §10.000 per household! So why did the bank owners allow this big loan? Yes, they know the Fish Facility can be sold for nearly §18.000. Alfonso also owns a couple small lots, including the Maccaroni Mine. But he diesn't intend selling either of those lots.

So what could they do but trying their best to raise money? Albert suggested to stay with them for this last simday, even if he already had his share of values. Akfonso walked down to the Fish Facility to fish frogs...

... and Albert visited a recently discovered dig site, to dig up whatever he would find...

... and Bianca stayed at home painting. They can't bring in much money this way though, maybe §1000 if they all do well.

Also in the northern region, on 4 Black Heights, Bella and Christopher Black have 2 toddler girls by now. They both godt Bella's blue'ish skin, and they are the only 3rd generation kids bringing on the alien blue skin DNA. Oh, they also got Christopher's red'ish eyes, and the funny thing is that the original blue aliens did have red eyes. Now, this is not a result of late Rita Redward, Christopher's mom, being related to Bianca Blumington, because Rita did not descend from aliens.

Rebecka has dark hair and might grow up to the looks of her mom...

... while Bonita is blond - unlike her parents. Did Bella pass on her mom's blond hair?

Outside Christopher is bringing some clothes to the clothes line. They don't own lots of outfits, so they do clean their clothes often.

Today Christopher decided to visit some Village Councillors, to promote his thought about establishing laws for the Maccaroni community.

Off we go... it's quite a walk. In the background is the Blumington house, and that's half the distance to the Blumington bridge. The bridge is about half the distance to the village center. It equals to a good 2 hours walk.

Christopher found Archie Greench at the gym location, near the village center. Archie is the southern region's representative.

The teen girl standing behind Christopher is Graica Greench, oldest child of Archie and Bridgette. Hum, she is Bella's niece, still I doubt they ever met. More about Graica later on...

Christopher walked a little east, to find Alex Yea-Low at home. He represents the eastern region, and he is married to Christopher's sister, Dorothy. She wasn't at home, though.

It seems like both Archie and Alex acknowledged the need of laws. But they both need to think it over.

Meanwhile, Graica Greench was back on 3 Greench Farm. Her traits are Clumsy, Grumpy, Vegetarian and Hydrophobic - not very interesting traits, really. She just grew up, and her interests were not discovered yet, and she only have some cooking skill, but she does like Pepper, the horse.

Why not going for a ride? Graica wanted to ride as a girl, now she can finally give it a try...

Not very easy without a saddle... do they sell saddles at the Consignment store, or could she make something primitive?

It got dark, and Graica gave up mounting Pepper for today...

Across the road, at 4 Greench Farm, Greta and Bertil were in a romantic mood.

Gabriel would follow wherever Greta suggested. They always were a very close couple, ever since schooldays back in the other world. Now they walked into the forest, to the secret wild garden Gabriel discovered very long ago.

It got even darker, they had to head back home.

LaShawn is their oldest son. I think he might push elderhood in a couple simweeks.

Carie G. Peel is one of Greta and Gabriel's twin daughters. She owns the house where they stay, and now it seems like Albert Blumington, Carie's boyfriend, will move in with them. Carie and Albert's relation isn't very strong, but they do enjoy each other's company. There won't be babies anytime soon, though.

Well, Alfonso Blumington is still fishing! Albert moved out, and took all kittens with him. It's just Alfonso, Bianca and the two old cats now.

When Bianca passes, Alfonso will be alone. Being the second youngest of the 2nd generation (only Agnes Yea-Low is younger than Alfonso), he could actually couple up with a girl from the 3rd generation! He would only be a couple simweeks older. But the kids at Greench Farm are related, so he would need to look west or east. Would it be possible?

After fishing, he decided to collect gems and seeds. At the western trail he found a strange glowing seed!

Or was it an egg? He hurried back home walking the northern side of the island, an area where hardly anyone go because there is actually nothing but slight fog there!

He reached home, and showed the strange thing to Bianca.

Bummer? Could it be sold for a good price if the community was only a bit bigger? Alfonso put it away in a safe place, maybe it can bring him good money in the future?

This day comes to an end. At 9 Yea-Low Ring Agnes and her secret friend Beetle is getting closer in the garden...

So, will there be anyone at the lighthouse party at all? Christopher and Bella might hesitate. Bianca clearly decided not to visit the Redward Heights. Agnes will rather visit the mine.

A chapter focusing on a party might even suit as a Christmas special... so be warned, over the coming season the updates will not be as regular, but they will still be many and perhaps even a bit off the normal track...

  1. Wow, Graica looks a lot like her grandmother Greta and interesting she had the Hydrophobic trait passed down to her. Hopefully the break will give you a lot of material to work with, too. =)

  2. Hi! It's interesting seeing how certain looks are passed on. Check out the 4 family trees if you didn't! :D
