Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!

What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!

4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.

The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.

Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)

I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Family Trees (updated on Week 11 - March 27th)

The Maccaroni population is growing and the 2nd generation took new surnames to avoid too many households carrying the same name. This all gets a bit confusing, especially when the skin tones mix. So, even if the family trees don't cover many generations yet, they are much needed to keep track on family ties.

For the settler sims' parents and grandparents back in the other world there are names but no portraits. Although most of those sims have actually been played and do exist, their pictures will not be posted. Why? Because when the settlers stranded on Week 1 Day 1, they brought no family photos, and the next generation just don't know exactly how their ancestors looked, although names and stories were passed on.

The family trees are also useful when picking spouses. Kids of a Redward/Yea-Low couple can only mate with kids of a Greench/Blumington couple. Most other kids are cousins, and the poor 3 kids of Bella and Christopher are cousins to ALL other kids on the island! No spouses for them yet... This was the reason why Roger and Yvonne wanted "forced marriages", in order to make it easier for the next generation to find spouses. But the blog readers protested, lol, and here we are - with a huge challenge :-).

The trees below will be updated periodically. On major updates the new family trees will be posted here, and a comment posted below!
