Week 10 Day 6: Flowers for Corinne

Late last night, Agnes was seen walking towards the dead trees of the northern region. It looked like she walked in trance, wagging her pregnant belly. She sensed nothing, just walked...

This morning at 4 Yea-Low Ring, Agnes and Beetle were up early. Yesterday Agnes married Joe Hawk, and she had not yet told Beetle about the impulse wedding! Joe had suggested to come home with her yesterday, but she told him she would rater like him to go steadying his little shed, then they would start a new today. Or something like that, she couldn't remember clearly. She was tired, highly pregnant, and hated to tell her boyfriend Beetle. So much for expecting Beetle's baby, while everyone thought that Joe was the father.

So, Beetle was not angry at all?

Someone was outside, calling for attention...

Agnes walked outside, while Beetle was told to hide in the bedroom, just in case. Agnes was still not sure whether others could see Beetle, and because of what people would say if they could not see him, she simply didn't want to know.

Joe had steadied his little shed, packed everything and had now moved out. Recently he had left the shed because his two dogs were joined by wild dogs, but now both Mathilda and Dooshee seemed to behave normally. The wild dogs had moved elsewhere.

Agnes watched the old man installing the dogs house, the birds cage, and lots of stuff in front of her little house. At the wedding she did take his last name, and according to traditions, she should because Joe Hawk is good for about §25.000 while Agnes only is good for about §7.000. Joe owns some land, and because he had no kids the land was not yet split. Agnes is not obsessed with money, but she can't help thinking the wedding might turn out to be a good deal for her, money wise.

In the background is the Bolan River. leading from the fish hole in the mountain and all the way down to the bridge in Sunrise Valley. The path leads to the graveyard to the left.

One hour later Agnes realized it was time. She gave birth to a baby boy! Joe, who still thinks he is the dad, was too happy to cheer.

Joe used to have a girlfriend before he stranded. Somehow he thinks Agnes is his old girlfriend, Emmy.

Over at 6 Redward Heights, Randal was tending the garden. He focused on the flame fruit, he got the idea of producing them for lamps. Lots of households do not have electricity, and the warm light from the fruit is a good lamp, actually. If he sell them for §50 each, he would make the money Corinne, his wife, always complains about.

When he walked inside he found Corinne checking herself in the mirror.

Corinne had found some old make-up after Randal's dead mom.

Randal understood that something was different. Corinne did often argue with him, but in a more defensive way than this. Should he follow her?

Ah, almost forgot to mention that their oldest daughter, Rosanne, has become a teenager. She is pulling weird faces on these pictures, but don't worry - Rosanne is not blind, she actually sees better than her mom. Her traits are Brave, Virtuoso, Workaholic and Hopeless Romantic. Kinda promising compared to her older brother Yamir who is both Insane and a Coward.

Corinne felt good, but she was nervous. She worried her heartbeats could be heard. She might buy some butter and a book, but first she would stop by at the gardener Cody Major. They had made a deal, she could pick up her plants today. Walking over to his place, she felt her hair looked a bit too strict. Should she remove the ribbon? Argh, all those hard last minute decisions!

Cody was at home...

Rosanne visited Cody Major with Corinne a few days back, and totally fell in love with the dog. That was before the puppies were even born.

Yes, Corinne was attracted to this man. If she wasn't married already...

Now, how will Corinne pay back? A secret picnic at Maccaroni Beach?

At the same time the Pets Club had a meeting at the new Bakery. Albert Blumington, Graica Greench and Constance R. Hamming were all fond of animals.

There are both cats and dogs born into families, by tamed wild animals. Wait, there are even a 3rd generation.

Or fertile, even. Pets have a shorter life span, and in order to make unrelated mates, as many pets as possible should be involved in having offspring.

 Something is definitely changing concerning those Dooshees... if anyone knows why, it would be Joe Hawk.

A quick stop at the Yea-Low family at 9 Yea-Low Ring. Yespar is still going strong, he is the youngest of the 4 remaining original settlers. He is an inventor, so is his son Alex, and Alex's son Reynar seems to be quite talented as well...

The Council will have a regular meeting again in 2 simdays, and Alex is a council member.

It's getting late, and it's bedtime not only for Reynar. After brushing his teeth, grandpa occurred.

Smart boy! And no, they never tried such an obvious idea...
