Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!
What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!
4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.
The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.

I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Week 7 Day 4: Complicated move-outs
Today's new resident is Graica Greench, daughter of Bridgette and Archie at the Greench farm! She got her dad's skin and mom's hair, can't wait to see her as a child! Granny Greta is very proud, and in this full household there will surely be lots of helpers. Graica is the very first baby of the 3rd generation!
Did you get to see the twins as teenagers yet? I don't think so. Beatrice and Carie just grew up, and they seem to be quite interesting young women. Carie (pictured) got her dad, Gabriel's, looks and her new trait is Natural cook.
Beatrice is more like Greta, and got the eyes that has been passed on ever since the Plant person Astrantia. Beatrice' new trait is Green thumb, not bad for a farm girl. See the household page for all their traits.
Greench Farm covers 5 well sized lots. Gabriel and Greta decided to build a small house across the road, and that Carie and Beatrice would move out there with them while Cody will stay with Archie and Bridgette here on the main farm. There is even more farmland farther south, but the community never decided exactly how they will share the island. The announced meeting will be good, unless the majority of the bank share owners, Roger Redward and Yvonne Yea-Low, did already decide a surprise to meet their own interests.
"Our Delightful Bookstore" has become quite a success. Everyday someone stops by to look for books on a particular subject, or to sell what they already reread. Today Randal Redward was looking for books on horses. Bianca Blumington was there too, looking for anything helping them in their hard everyday. The Blumingtons are the poorest family, and kids moving out don't really get a good start with the small heritage. But it seems to be too late for changing anything now.
So far, so good...
Bianca didn't notice that Randal Redwad left the bookstore while she was still talking. The problem isn't unique to the Blumingtons though. Land can't be sold to raise money for building new homes, because there would be nobody to buy it. Nearly all their values are tied up in the house, making it very difficult to share. Perhaps the youngest kids will not be able to move out at all?
Gabriel kept seeing his friend, the wild horse, even if it can't be tamed by him. He brought carrots or apples, they talked and petted, and the horse always seemed happy. Now that Gabriel used a cane and could no longer run as long distances as before, he found that the horse might even be located closer to the Greench Farm. Will it soon become elderly, too?
Bridgette and Archie got some lovely gifts for their recent wedding. Naturally there was a couple high-tech gifts that can't be used in a place like this, one really could wonder how the guests got hold on those! Money value will be very useful though, especially with all upcoming land sharing and move-outs.
Today Albert Blumington visited the new Warehouse for the first time. He needs to place an item worth §50 in the shed, each day he uses the Warehouse facilities. Albert thought the community would somehow pick it up later.
So, there was the sculpture working station! Albert wanted to start with something tiny, not taking weeks to complete for a newbie, so he decided to create a small bowl...
Oh... well, good to have enough clay even for a starter... a small bowl might take a week after all.
Someone was in the Warehouse... It was Joe Hawk.
Ah, they can catch fish? Could they contribute to the household? That would please Albert's parents a lot! Need some training, perhaps?
Joe left, and Albert worked on with his little bowl. But he also felt a huge responsibility was placed on his young shoulders. He might own the only remaining Miozoo couple! Maybe the last two in the entire world! Ah, he would even rename them; Mio and Zoo! Cool!
Back home at 3 Blumington Road, Bella was getting ready to move out. And her dad, Bolan, just got the same note as the other households.
Bella's new home was very small, built today just a little north of this main house. If the land plans come with surprises, maybe Bolan could just exchange land with others to avoid house movings.
After the late meal, Bella and Christopher walked over to the new house. They named the area Black Heights, after Bianca's maiden name, and Bella's house is at number 4. It's a bit off the Blumington Road, but relatively flat land very close to the northern shore.
They are still not a couple, but Bella accepted that Christopher Redward can stay with her for a short time, until he gets ready to face his folks. He doesn't know that Bianca said too much to Yvonne Yea-Low yesterday, and that Yvonne probably informed Christopher's parents where their run away son hides.
Why must she make this so complicated? Can't they just hug and start a new family? It's not even a move-out, but a move-in! Somehow Bella seems to distrust Christopher - will that ever change?
To be continued in two days!
