Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!

What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!

4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.

The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.

Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)

I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Week 7 Day 6: A missing friend

Yesterday the Maccaroni land was divided, and everyone seems to be happy with the result. Each lot having a dedicated ovner will make it easier when kids move out, the lot content will be influenced by the owners' interests - both financially and personally. They mostly own residential lots, but if someone comes up with a great business idea, I don't see why a lot can't be rezoned.

Still, there are plenty of community lots not yet developed, owned by the community. I will try a system for those lots that I never tried before, but it might be wiser to save the "rules" until it's actually put to action by someone. A new version of the interactive map will be up in a few days!

The Greench Farm suddenly has 5 different owners, owning one lot each. The main farm is still co-owned by the brothers Archie and Cody. Cody is still a teen working on the farm, and when he eventually moves out Archie will need to pay him his half. It will be a troublesome day, because it was just informed that there is a bank loan limit of §10.000 per household. Archie already owes that much, but on a good day they can harvest and sell food for about §2.000, and now they try to make the most out of it. Archie and Bridgette get 2/3 of such income, while 1/3 is transfered to Cody's account.

Now that Greta, Gabriel, Beatrice and Carie moved out, this household can grow further...

Well, if they didn't succeed, they can always try again! Btw, yesterday Gabriel announced that Archie and Bridgette was pregnant again, but it must have been wishful thinking.

So where did Greta, Gabriel and the twin daughters move to? They still reside on Greench Farm, across the road. This lot is number 4, and is owned by Carie, who is still a teen. They took up the max loan on Carie's behalf, built a small house and by running a small scale farm, they hope to reduce Carie's debts while Greta and Gabriel are still around to help. They got the gardening skills that the daughters lack.

The indoor is rather dull, but Plant sim descendants never gave priority to the indoors. There is just one large room and a tiny bathroom. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, each 4x4.

Culinary and animals seem to be Carie's biggest interests this far. Right behind the house, she found a large bird.

Her sister Beatrice has got the Green thumb trait, but she hasn't really been practicing that much yet. Today a guy called her from the mail box. It was Yoseph Yea-Low, delivering some info from his mom, Yvonne Yea-Low. He also had one request.

Such a reflected young man. While Beatrice seems to be a person of less complicated answers.

Over at 3 Blumington Road, Albert has been busy trying to make the wild mine cats, Mio and Zoo, to breed. He got some advices from Joe Hawk, and Albert is fully dedicated to save the cats. They need many kittens to start with...

He has not thought of the fact that the kittens won't find pure race partners...

Meanwhile, Albert's younger brother Alfonso joined their dad Bolan at the new Gym lot. The place just offers a quirky workout machine, put together by the local inventor. In addition there is a seesaw and a small hut for washing after a sweaty session. Nearby there is a tiny sump with wildlife, so this area which is located at Rounder Lane just north of the school library, might become more busy.

Back on the farmland, Carie's place, Greta had been looking for Gabriel for a while. She found him upstairs.

Gabriel had absolutely no idea that Rendal Redward tamed that black and white wild horse yesterday, totally aware that the horse means a lot to Gabriel Greench.

Albert works a few hours at the Warehouse every day. He likes sculpting, and in a few days he will be able to sell for more than the daily fee of §50. He had called Carie Greench this morning, because he knew she liked animals. They had agreed to meet at the Warehouse.

Why do all of them talk about Joe Hawk, but never pay him a visit?

Well, the cats - Albert had already offered Miley, the first kitten of Mio and Zoo, to his sister Bridgette and her new family at Greench Farm. And little Graica was thrilled!

More in 2 days :-)

  2. Me too, Sigen, even though Randal will likely try to get all that he can from the old man. Wouldn't it be wonderful for Corrine to intervene and maybe influence Randal to show some kindness for once? I really love seeing the kids/teens develop and speculate all the different relationships - could we possibly see a Yea-Low show interest in a Greench girl? And I wonder what's going on with Christopher and Bella??? Ugh! - Have to wait 2 whole days! =)

  4. Ah, thanks for your comments!!! I really appreciate some feedback, and seeing what sims and plots that trigger you helps me to see my future stepd :D

Gabriel's soorow might be over tomorrow already, but I don't know exactly how, yet. LOL. Most of the plots take their twist and turn as I go by, and sometimes there is a surprise for me, too!
