Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!

What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!

4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.

The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.

Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)

I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Week 8 Day 3 - Welcome home, Pepper!

Gabriel Greench had accepted to pay §3000 for his friend, the wild horse Pepper. Greta sold tons of grapes she had been putting aside for nectar making, giving up on her dream of building up a nectar cellar at Greta's Bistro. This way Gabriel could pay §2000, while their son Archie Greench will only pay §1000.

Over at 6 Redward Heights, Randal Redward was preparing the delivery. He found that Bliss had given birth to a foal during the night, and Pepper is the father. Basically good news, but Randal wasn't too happy with the result.

Randal delivered Pepper and got paid, according to the deal. It was a special day at 3 Greench Farm, and both Gabriel and Archie's sister Carie, visited to be part of the event. Gabriel had suggested that Pepper should live at the main farm, where fences were already built, and Pepper would live a good life. Gabriel moves slowly these days, but will manage to walk across the road every day to spend some time with the horse.

So, they all watched Pepper getting used to his new home. Also the toddler Bertil was enthusiastically watching the big animal.

Over at Redward Heights, Constance Redward had moved out after the quarrel with her mom, Rita. A small house was built on the neighbouring lot, number 3. Constance moved in alone, bringing her dog Cairo, and she also picked up the second dog, Kia, from Joe Hawk. Kia is male, so there won't be any puppies, but Constance thought Cairo would appreciate some company.

Constance's boyfriend, Jess, did visit, and they spent a few hours together.

Many hours later, Constance thought Cairo had changed a little...

She had to bring Cairo to the Dooshee expert, Joe Hawk. Cairo was found in the woods, and Joe didn't raise him.

Oh... this was definitely not Constance's plan! She thought it was good having 2 dogs, but she didn't want a third! Especially not of the wild dogs.

Constance turned down Joe's offer in a polite way, too much to do in a brand new home... When she returned home, Jess turned up again, giving her flowers! He wanted to move in with her, and Constance accepted!

At the Greench Farm, Pepper seemed to like his new home. Archie and his brother Cody worked hard to harvest all the crops.

In fact, the only single girl not closely related to Cody, is Agnes Yea-Low. It wouldn't be a good party, would it? Maybe Cody should rather just stay at Greench Farm a little longer? But he has a future that he is not aware of yet, so he will need to move on...

At 4 Black Heights, Bella and Christopher have been getting closer. It's weirder than they thought, when knowing they are half second cousins. Bella is still holding a little back, and Christopher still sleeps on the old garden couch. But their relation has improved nicely!

Christopher is very much in love with Bella, but he needs a way to impress her to win her over. If he could only get a job, or establish something new and useful. Instead, his head is filled with thoughts about how his parents cut him off. It did feel very unfair, after all, especially that he was the only person on Maccaroni Island who did not own land.

The mine is a quiet place. Bolan Blumington who built up the Maccaroni Mine, was no longer there. He was too old, it took to long to get there and back home. There was only a few values to be found here and there, but a few piles of scrap were interesting.

Christopher wanted to forgive his parents, and move on, but it was difficult. He also wanted to show everyone that he was a solid guy, if he only could find some useful job and a meaningfull life! It all felt quite unfair!

Suddenly he realized there was nowhere to turn when you felt injustice. He could not ask anyone for advice, maybe he could claim some land according to law? But what law? He saw it clearly; Maccaroni Island was in need of some rules. Not only the kind of rules that his own Father made up to secure his own interests, no - rules that everyone knew and accepted!

Christopher felt much better - he decided to read up on logics, then ask Yvonne Yea-Low to establish a Law service! He would need some land, located in the village. And best of all - Bella might get impressed!

Meanwhile, Bella had left home to visit LaShawn Greench at 2 Greench Farm. They hardly knew about each other, but had lots to talk about. LaShawn lives alone as his twin brother, Jess, just moved in with Constance Redward.

So, they had a deal...

More in 2 days!
