Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!

What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!

4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.

The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.

Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)

I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Week 7 Day 7: Family ties

Yesterday,   Yoseph Yea-Low had been running all over the Maccaroni Island to deliver a note from his mom to 3 elderly women. Yvonne wanted the 4 settler women to meet at the Village administration house this morning.

Yvonne started with announcing her parents' names, Jones and Hedgewall. Then she looked at Greta.

So, there was a reason why Rita didn't accept the two families to merge. To the others it was like a little shock, perhaps not a catastrophe, but still a surprise that everyone felt involved in now that their kids are about to get married. It's not often that Yvonne can't express herself, but right now she found herself in a serious dilemma. She had been told that Christopher Redward is hiding with one of the Blumington daughters. Yvonne had decided not to tell Rita and Roger, but should the news about their family tie change that? She chose not to say anything, after all the two youngsters were only half second cousins.

A little later, Roger Redward brought the twins, Dorothy and Constance, to the new gym facility. Most of the Redwards have the Athletic trait. They like activities, but the children never built any skills. There just wasn't a way to exercise until now.

It's hard to believe that there are still young residents on the island who doesn't have a relation yet! In such a little community, one ought to expect that everyone met long ago.

Yvonne Yea-Low was back home at 9 Yea-Low Ring. She is quite older than her husband Yespar, the inventor, and Yvonne finds herself thinking about the children's future, more and more often. Now she had to introduce them to the question of names. She always was proud of her maiden name, Jones, although it didn't sound as classy as Hedgewall. If she knew who the children will marry, it would have been easier.

Alex and Yoseph are both teens, they take care of the garden. One of them ought to get this place when they marry.

Agnes is still a child, but her birthday is tonight. She is a little weird, too weird to become head of the main Yea-Low household?

Yvonne called them all in.

Hm, Yvonne, isn't this a bit not-so-interesting to children and teens?

At 5 Redward Heights Rita was alone at home - with Cairo. Why couldn't Constance take Cairo with her when she left home? She ran over to the Greench Farm to see a cat... Rita could worry about her daughter visiting the farmers, and she could have worried about her bringing home kittens as well, but Rita just felt empty today. The naming meeting this morning was really awful, now she just bad and wanted to be alone.

Across the road, Randal Redward is slowly building up his horse ranch. It's lots of hard work, and besides the regular stuff, today he also tried to make Bliss breed with the other horse - tomorrow it will be too late, if Gabriel Greench accepts Randal's offer.

Alex Yea-Low and Dorothy Redward were dating for a while, before Dorothy grew up. Now they hang out occasionally, but it often feels a bit weird. Sometimes they just stand there, while hundred questions spin in their heads, without being spoken.

And, sometimes they can't have enough of joy and laughter.

It's getting late. Everyone of the Yea-Low household were at home when Agnes felt the cribble-crabble all over her body.

And Agnes did grow into a... teenager. Yvonne cheered, but she also thought that no, Agnes won't inherit this main home of the Yea-Low family.

More to follow in 2 days!

  1. Ohh, I wonder how Agnes grew up?

    Sigh, Randall...:(

Wow, that was a shocker! I wonder how Chris and Bianca will cope knowing that they has a "will they or won't they" relationship with their half second cousin?

  3. Yay for Agnes!! I love that she's different and completely individual. =)

Seems the apple didn't fall far from the tree in Randal's case... not that it shouldn't be too surprising, but sad to consider Gabriel's disappointment (but he could be equally elated to know the horse is safe and where to find him!)

    Hrmmm....Constance and LaShawn... hrmmm

LOL Keep it up, can't wait for the next post!
