Many community builds had been built recently. The stage, Greta's Bistro, and a bridge leading to the north side of the Maccaroni land. But they also built a small house for community matters, and Yvonne intended to work on the bank notes there, as well as making sketches for a future development of the village. It's located south/east of the central Park, between the Yea-Low and Greench households.
Yvonne planned to get some work done, when she ran into Rita Redward and her oldest son.
Randal joined Corinne in the garden, while Rita followed Yvonne to the Village house.
Yvonne wondered how the west side could be reserved. And reserved for what purpose? She would better discuss it with Roger, as Rita seemed too obsessed with it all.
Meanwhile Randal and Corinne tried to get a conversation going, but it wasn't very easy. They knew each other from earlier, but now they were older and they had never been together all alone.
It seemed like they finally had something in common! And so did Constance Redward and Corinne's little brother Alex - who gently waited to play with Constance's green doll.
Yespar had been working for days on Rita Redward's new nectar maker. It might work and it might not, but there was not much more he could do. Now it was up to Rita's nectar making skills. The invention would cost her a lot. And Yespar really deserved a break.
A few hours later, after closing the Consignment Store early, Roger and Rita walked west of the village. Roger was taking Rita to the area where he wanted them to settle. There were exotic birds in the trees, and unknown sounds from the forest. It was like the wild life of the forest lived right there, maybe the village had forced the animals to resettle?
Rita could hardly tell a seagull from a parrot, but this time she was right. The ocean was getting closer.
Rita was - speechless. The view was so much better than in the forest!
The area was quite big, and facing Arrival Bay where they camped for the first night. Roger had stayed in the bay area during his time alone here, too, and this was where his matches disappeared.
Sun was setting, and finally, Rita felt the progress did benefit her.
It was getting late, and they knew the daylight would be gone in less than one hour. Better hurry back to the village.
Back home, Randal and his younger brother Christopher had some disagreement over a local girl...
Mr Nobody? Christopher definitely did not understand, but he knew that when Rendal had one girl, at least he could not stop Christopher from finding some other girl - he thought.
When Rita and Roger returned, a great surprise was waiting for them! Yespar had, with the help of Randal and Christopher, transported the huge nectar maker over to the Randal house. It's hard to see on the picture, which really proves they could need some more lamps.
So, Rita felt both happy, and a little stressed. Would the other locals accept that the Rendals get the west side of the island? And would they ever be able to build a proper home over there? Money isn't everything, but right there and then, Rita had to admit that they had less funds than needed.
Late at night Yvonne was still working on those village sketches. She found it harder than expected, she had no idea what she should consider more important. There would soon be roads, wouldn't there? And they would need more community builds, but also more residential lots.
Long ago she had even accepted to plan the new couples, but now that there was a perfect amount of boys and girls in the Redward and Yea-Low families, there would probably be less fuss. Because Rendal and Corinne were oldest, they made a natural couple, leaving Agnes with Christopher. Then Alex and Yoseph would get Constance and Dorothy. Done... The biggest challenge might be to make the teenager Christopher wait for the baby Agnes. Whatever happened to the Blumington and Greench families, was of less interest.
What is this animal!
ReplyDeleteAnd this is like arranged marriage, they're forcing their kids to marry who they want them too.
Yea, I don't really like arranged marriages myself, but in this case it will make it much easier to find spouses for the next generation. Good thing it's only a deal between the Redwards and the Yea-Lows.
