Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!

What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!

4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.

The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.

Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)

I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Week 5 Day 4: A trap for the thief

Bianca and the other adults are pushing elderhood! A change of generations is soon coming up, and this will be quite exciting in the SimBasic story. It means a major progress in the community building. All except the Redwards still have toddlers in the household. Bianca is one of those who think it's too much to handle - at times.

Boland is a perfect dad, but he had to focus a lot on the ongoing projects. He wanted them to move to the north side, but will there be time now that they have started to build streets? He ws mining daily, and some times he thought that he was unlucky who had no strong teen sons to help. Bridgette and Bella could help, but they helped with the garden and the gallery, that also was important in order to raise their funds a little.

Well, Bolan walked off to prepare more asphalt for street building. The other men would attend a little later. When passing the Consignment store in what is set to be the central park, he heard some food had disappeared at Greta's Bistro.

Bridgette was dealing with tough days. She had accepted that she descends from blue aliens, but she didn't feel okay with not telling Archie, her boyfriend. There was no way she could have his kids without telling about the risk of having a CA-66 baby. She knew she had to make up her mind, but she loved him and it was a very tough decision.

A little later Bolan was joined by the strong guys from the Greench farm. They cut threes, transported asphalt masses as well as bricks for sidewalks. It was very hard work, but the result turned out great! The Redward and Yea-Low families did not attend, which upset both Bolan and Gabriel.

I know that just building simple mud roads for a start would seem more natural, but technically it's not possible to upgrade the Maccaroni island world later without lots of technical fuss. The families will soon merge to build new households, and switching worlds would ruin the family ties and relations. So, pardon me, but they will have ordinary asphalt streets from the start. It will look weird for the next generation, only, especially because they have no cars.

They started to build roads just outside the village. Yvonne Yea-Low made sketches, but the plans for the central part is not yet approved. Over the next 3-4 days most of the streets are supposed to be completed.

It sure was a busy day for Bolan. He had also promised to show Bridgette and Bella the north side of the island.

They walked to the bridge, it got dark, but there was still time.

After some more walking they finally reached the north side.

Bella didn't like the area, but she wouldn't mind them moving away from the others, so she was basically fine with it. Bridgette wished she had talked with Archie. If they broke up, then she would be fine with moving away. But if they kept dating, she would have preferred to live closer.

Much later, Greta Greench had invited Bianca Blumington over. The thief was the subject, and Greta had set up a trap. Over the past days a camera, flowers, nectar and food had been stolen.

Bianca walked back home, and the others except Greta went to sleep. Greta sat down to wait. There was a mild breeze in the trees, a few birds could be heard in the distance, although the forest was going to rest, too, like it usually did at night. Well, except those wild creatures that seemed to be hunting at night. Greta had not heard them until recently, but she recalled those sounds from the smaller island where they originally stranded.
One hour later... Two hours later. Greta was very sleepy. Did she even fall asleep once? Then...!!!

Creepy! Who WAS that?

To be continued in 2 days! :-)
