Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!

What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!

4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.

The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.

Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)

I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Week 5 Day 1: Cursed

It's another week, another day! It's been 4 full sim weeks since the four couples stranded on the tiny island, just south of the Maccaroni island, where they are now. Kids are still being born, some are teens already, and a small community is forming. The idea is still to have a small town in 3 generations.

This morning young Corinne Yea-Low seemed to need to let go of some pressure. She is artistic and all this little girl wanted was to sing some songs. But there was hardly any songs she knew. Her mother, Yvonne, plays the guitar pretty well, but she never was a singer.

Yvonne was very tired of the role as a mother. They already had 3, and Yvonne was expecting a final child. If they were still in Slemmon Heights, Yespar and Yvonne would probably not had children at all. They are both Bookworms and would be happier in their private library.

At the Consignment store, Yespar was debating the ongoing cell phone connector project with Roger Redward. They wanted to connect multiple cellphones to build a stronger signal, in order to reach civilization.

It might look like they just cut off the final hope of being rescued. They were doing okay on the island, but the adults naturally missed everything a town can offer, and it wouldn't hurt to let relatives know that they survived the storm 28 years (4 sim weeks) ago.

Today they expanded the village with a small stage for fun and entertainment, and a small café near by. At the stage opening, only the Redwards, who initiated the whole thing and lives on the approaching lot, attended. Rita always dreamed of the limelight, and she's even considered Star material, she is no doubt the most enthusiastic.

Christopher seemed to be a little more calm and normal than his older brother Randal. Christopher's new trait was Adventurous.

Despite the lack of interest from the other families, Rita was very satisfied with the new addition.

Fine, then Rita could relax. As soon as they have checked out the west side, she would insist on them moving there. She had no plans of becoming an elder here in the forest. She wanted to taste her wine while admiring the sunset!

It was very late. Most residents were asleep or at least at home. Except from Yvonne. She was pregnant with her forth child and tired, but yet she was on her way to the north side of the Maccaroni island. She didn't know the way, but the voices were directing her. There was the river, she had to cross it. She knew it couldn't be very far... beyond the river... up the hill...?

Finally, the dead trees. The cold and naked landscape...

What on earth did that mean? Your belly... hard to let go... It sounds like there's no easy escape from the curse, Yvonne! Or what do you think?

To be continued in 2 days!
