Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!
What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!
4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.
The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.
Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)
I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Week 4 Day 3: A romance
When Gabriel returned to the farm, he found Yvonne passed out and laying on the ground!
Yvonne recovered, and walked over to the park to have a much needed shower...
They walked into the forest, south of the Greench farm. Except from some birds, the forest seemed all silent.
Yes, what on earth was that?
Meanwhile, the day was about to close in. Bridgette's younger sister was called back home.
Bianca worried just a little for Bridgette, she had been gone all night and they had no idea where she was. There was no person on the island that they didn't trust, but there were so many unexplored locations, and teens do push borders and explore new terrain without asking for permission.
If there were graves, there must have been residents? Or maybe not? To be continued in 2 days!

Week 4 Day 2: Family Planning
This morning was warmer than usual, Rita slept a few hours longer, and wasn't really up for new challenges at all.
So, today some nectar was gone, adding to the recently stolen flowers and a camera.
Christopher has become a child, his traits are Athletic, Virtuoso and Hot-headed. Nothing like his older brother Randal, though...
This wasn't really a big deal to Rita, how much probems could some insane person cause on this island anyway? And there would not be any reason to hide Randal's madness, because everyone knew him already.
Meanwhile Archie Greench had heard that Bianca finally grew up, and everyone says that she looks nice. He rushed over to the Blumingtons to meet his childhood favourite friend...
Near by, the little Yea-Low family was at the school library. I must add that the library has not worked quite like intended. It's a nice place to hang out, but skill books are not available. The chess table is popular, and the playground outside is frequently visited as well. And there's always someone reading inside as well, but novels only.
Later on, they were all back home. Yvonne and Yespar have two children now, Corinne and Alex. They are of course correctly named after grandparents, according to old naming traditions I used for most families ever since TS1. It's all about using the first two letters from one grandparent and the last two letters from another, and any letters in between are tweaked until the name looks half decent. It makes for a nice tie between generations, and it normally brings up more unique names than Corinne and Alex. Yespar is one such name - his grandparents were Yesvald and Jespar.
Both Yvonne and Yespar know that they should have 2 more children. They are not very keen on it, but they respect rules and while they get older, there might not be much time left.
Yvonne was too upset to sleep. She left the little house, and walk just a few steps into the wild forest. She looked to the north, remembered how the landscape had reminded her of the Northern Beach of the smaller island. Both locations were facing north, which had to be the reason why they looked similar. Right now she felt a sudden urge to return to the area with darker ground and dead trees. It felt like someone was calling her!
Perhaps Randal Redward is not the only one touching craziness?
Check back in just 2 more days!

Week 4 Day 1: The Secret Garden
Okay, mom can take a hint...
The boys ran over to the library.
Greta was already experimenting with different ways to colour textiles she made of suitable plants. She planned to produce the material only, but not to sell outfits.
Over at the school library locals often meet to read. It works well as a community lot and meeting place. While LaShawn and Jess walked inside, Archie hang out in the sand waiting for a good friend...
Archie joined the others inside, but he didn't concentrate because he always had a good eye to the blond little girl sitting ahead of him, Bridgette Blumington. She was still just a child, while he was a teenager. It made it quite complicated, but he knew she would grow up too, in a day or two.
He walked outside and waited again...
Bummer. Age does matter, and weight does, too. Teens and children are not meant to play the same games.
Back at the Greench farm, Gabriel surprised Greta with some flowers.
You don't need to be a teenager to get romantic by finding a secret garden...
Back at the library, Archie helped Bridgette to empty the basket that her mom brought.
Archie loves food, but who wouldn't want cake after a childhood based on tomato and lettuce?
Meanwhile, Gabriel and Greta had returned from the secret garden. And they couldn't quite believe what they saw (or actually did not see).
That's right. Even if Archie has started some romantic journey, there's no way he would give red flowers to a little girl...
So, what's going on? A camera yesterday, and flowers today. Find out more in just 2 days!
