Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!

What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!

4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.

The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.

Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)

I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Week 3 Day 2: Welcome to Maccaroni

It's departure day! In the morning they gathered at the north side of the island. Rafts were ready and packed, a few minor adjustments were being handled. It was important to start from the exact position where Roger started swimming. The weather was more or less the same, sea was calm.

Rita put her plan to life. She had to get it done before leaving the island.

And Rita walked on to the rest of the group...

Deal settled! Perfect! Rita cheered within, but performed the widow role to perfection.

Then they finally climbed onto the rafts, and let go. There was hardly any wind, and the sea was calm. Yespar was optimistic, he felt the streams worked just like they did on the day that Roger swam.

And, the Greench twins were thrilled about the journey - their birthday present! While their mom Greta worked her hydrophobia...

They drifted for hours. It wasn't until sunset, that they got closer to the new Maccaroni land, and started worrying about naviagation. It looked like they would just about approach land, or they would just about miss it. The rafts were connected by ropes, and by pulling those ropes, they managed to turn a little to the right, but was it enough?

Then there was a voice in the distance that they all recognized...

They managed to navigate into the rocks. They dragged the rafts into a small bay, and were all excited over sucessfully arriving Maccaroni. All goods was loaded onto solid ground, then they established a camp for the night.

They were all surprised that Roger was not only alive, but also totally okay. And he had a plan.

Right - at this point Generations is installed, and I realize there will be lots of young kings and queens on this island... luckily their costumes seems rather primitive. It would look very strange if they dressed up like high-tech robots with blinking lights...
They had to leave some of their beds behind when leaving the tiny island, so now they had to share. Some went to bed, remembering how they had 3 hours shifts sleeping when they first arrived the tiny island. Others waited. There was so much to talk about, some tried to look into the forest, to get a glimpse of what was expecting them, but it was way too dark, and nobody was allowed to leave the camp.

Soon it was all quiet, except from Yvonne snoring tenderly.

Check back for the next chapter in just 2 days!
