Welcome to SimBasic - a community legacy!

What happened next? Find out in the Greench Farm legacy!

4 couples stranded and founded a new community on Maccaroni Island. Currently the 3rd generation is about to start new families! This is a Sims3 community legacy that has been updated frequently for a full year, and contains about 100 chapters! Late July 2012 it came to an end and a new spin-off legacy focusing on just one of these households will bring the story forward, starting August 15, 2012.

The very first post is here, or use the Blog Archive to look back. Posts describing the project are tagged *. Please see the interactive map for household bios and family trees. Comments are welcome both here on the blog and on the SimBasic thread at the thesims3 forum. Even if there won't be more updates, I will still read your commnts.

Find all my stories and Sims projects gathered at my blog, Simmerville's Sims :)

I hope you will enjoy the read! :-)

Week 3 Day 7: Stolen camera?

The Blumington household won a recent poll, so here is a Blumington special!

The 4 families are well settled. They still can't buy much from the catalog. Some furniture and other stuff can be produced from wood, plants and scrap they found along the shoreline, and little by little each household will have a few more belongings that don't require electricity. Very limited income means that it will take time to build a nice home. Meanwhile, I'm a bit tired with the ever rolling wish of buying a fridge... ha ha.

Bolan Blumington has started to bring out metals and gems from the mountain north of the island. Yespar Yea-Low is experimenting with producing electricity as well as mixing ingredients for lasting paint. Greta Greench is gathering materials for crafting fabrics. A few more community lots are being discussed and planned. These things will shortly become available.

Today Bianca Blumington was up very early. Yesterday Bolan returned from walking the island with Gabriel Greench, Roger Redward and Yvonne Yea-Low, and Bianca didn't really get a chance to tell him that she's pregnant again. After two daughters she really hopes for a boy this time.
When the rest of the Blumington family was getting up, Bianca was already tending the garden. Bolan took care of Bella, and Bridgette was old enough to take care of herself. They always keep apples on the table, and whenever they get hungry they just eat some fruit.
Bianca had a camera, but she saved it for special occasions. When Yespar Yea-Low finds a good way to produce electricity, there will hopefully be a way to recharge their electronical equipment. But for now, Bianca wanted to paint instead, and she planned to sell portraits also to the other families. But first she would need  to practice som more.

Bridgette hid her little sister under the bed. Then she ran off for help! The playground outside the School was a good place to look for assistance! Even if she had to wait a little.
And there she ran into her good friend, Archie Greench.

Behind them you see the consignment store to the left, and the Blumington house to the right.

Bella started to cry from under the bed, and Bianca rescued her. She needed a model for the next painting, and well... I recognize the red ribbon in Bella's hair, but that's about all. I don't think this will be much appreciated on a future living room wall, but it can be consigned for money and is not wasted at all.
Everyone is supposed to have their individual painting style. I really hope Bianca's style will be nothing like this...

Bolan had left for fishing. He already knew a good fishing spot on the east side. He enjoyed very much to be alone fishing, it was like meditation to him. And it gave room for lots of thinking. He didn't like to be away from his little family for a full day, if they only could live closer to the ocean!
Maybe they could move? The land across the river came to mind, the area just before all the dead trees, it was quite okay! He had been there a couple times to dig out gems and minerals from the biggest mountain. Must be great fishing spots there too! It would be a long walk from the other families, but Bianca never liked to get much involved with neighbours anyway. They were used to stay low after escaping authorities, due to their family secret.

Or, should he just build a pond near the house, and then store fish in it? With some luck the fish would do fine, and he would not need to leave home to catch fish... but he would still miss the sea...

Later at night, Bolan was reading.

Bianca took a few pictures back on the little island, pictures that would be of big interest to future generations. All gone...

So, is there a thief among them? If so, who could it be?

To be continued in 2 days!
